In 2010, Eden was honored to become the first non-family Executive Director of the Tauck Foundation and work with three generations of the Tauck family. She brought fourteen years of experience with youth and leadership development, non-profit management, strategic planning, board and fund development, grantmaking, and family philanthropy. An advocate for arts education, Eden began her career working at the San Francisco Opera. She then spent ten years helping to build Summer Search, a non-profit that encourages low-income high school students to become altruistic leaders through ongoing mentoring, summer experiential education, college access, and an alumni support network. Eden served as Executive Director of Summer Search’s North San Francisco Bay office, Founder and Executive Director of the New York City office, and finally national Director of Strategic Partnerships. She then became Executive Director of Steamboat Foundation, a private foundation that invests in a summer fellowship for undergraduate leaders and makes grants in impoverished communities internationally. Eden has been certified as a trainer and consultant to multi-generational families by 21/64, a division of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies in New York. She is a member of the Hedge Fund Philanthropic Alliance and several other affinity groups for grantmakers in Connecticut. She is also a founding board member and Secretary of Edible Schoolyard NYC. Eden received her B.A. in English Literature from Yale University.
When not at work, Eden enjoys being with her family and friends, writing and reading, going to the opera and theater, singing, and gardening. Originally from Westport, Connecticut, she is pleased to be back in Fairfield County, living in Redding with her husband, son, daughter, a bunny, and some chickens.
