The following list is provided to help students explore available summer opportunities. The list is not exhaustive, nor does it constitute an endorsement of any of these programs by the Tauck Foundation. If you have questions about any of these programs, please contact the program directly.

www.summeroncampus.com – A searchable directory of summer camps and programs at colleges in New York State for kids and teens ages 8-18+

www.acacamps.org – The American Camp Association website includes a search engine for searching for a camp program by location, focus, and a variety of other variables.

www.rochester.edu/College/osp/apply/rs_app.html - University of Rochester’s Rochester Scholars program provides an academic experience for high school students to explore the sciences, social sciences, engineering, and humanities.

www.rit.edu/~kocwww/ - Rochester Institute of Technology’s Kids On Campus program focuses on topics involving computers, science, math and
technology.

www.outwardboundwilderness.org – Outward Bound offers a range of group leadership and wilderness experiences, ranging from one week to one month, throughout the United States.

www.hochstein.org - The Hochstein Music School in Rochester offers music, vocal, and dance instruction at all levels in the summer.

www.wab.org - Writers and Books, a literary center in Rochester, offers a range of writing courses for students in the summer.

www.vsw.org/education/sumschedule.html - Visual Studies Workshop offers a range of one-week summer courses in photography, film and video, computer imaging, multimedia, and web page design.

www. mag.rochester.edu - The Memorial Art Gallery offers a series of week-long summer art classes for students up to age 13.

www.rmsc.org – Rochester Museum and Science Center offers week-long summer programs on a range of topics.

www.campstellamaris.org – Camp Stella Maris in Livonia, NY is a 28-acre residential camp offering a broad array of traditional summer camp activities. One and two week sessions are available.

Rochester Assoc. of the Performing Arts (RAPA) – No website. Contact by phone at (585) 325-3366. RAPA offers a variety of performance-oriented summer programs for youth in dance, piano, voice, and theater.

www.emsc.nysed.gov/nysssa - New York State Summer School of the Arts provides 2 to 4 week residential programs for high school students providing intensive pre-professional training in the specific disciplines of ballet, choral studies, dance, jazz studies, media arts, orchestral studies, theatre and visual arts. Audition required.

www.geneseearts.org - Genesee Center for the Arts is a community arts center with a darkroom, a pottery workshop, and a printing and book arts center as well as galleries. If offers classes in photography, pottery, printing, and papermaking.

www.naz.edu/dept/chemistry/summercamp.cfm - Infotonics Summer Science Camp at Nazareth College offers 4 different week-long sessions during the month of July.

www.ahorsesfriend.com – A Horse’s Friend is a program that introduces city youth to the fun, skills, and responsibility involved in horseback riding and horsemanship. The organization offers a 6-week Saturday program during the school year. In the past, they have offered week-long summer camps, as well.
